FAIR LAWN, NJ - From the Fair Lawn Route 208 Overpass to DeBoer Drive in Glen Rock, there were three accidents within seven minutes of each other, snarling traffic more than usual during the morning commute.

The first occurred at 8:37 a.m. on the Fair Lawn Avenue overpass, according to Fair Lawn Police Sergeant Brian Metzler, when a car stopped at a light was rear-ended. The second Fair Lawn accident happened at 8:44 a.m. in the left lane of Route 208 northbound, Metzler said, near Nabisco. Another rear-ending incident.

The third accident occurred in Glen Rock at the DeBoer Drive exit: a six-car pile-up. Fair Lawn was called to assist with that accident at 8:46 a.m., Metzler said.

Photos show northbound travel on Route 208 shortly after the accidents occurred.
