GLEN ROCK, NJ - Just before noon today, a person was struck and killed by a New Jersey Transit train on Bergen Line at the Harristown Road crossing, according to NJ Transit.

The following was posted as a "Travel Alert" on the NJ Transit website:

MBPJ train #1168, the 12:20pm from Waldwick is cancelled due to a pedestrian fatality near Glen Rock. Customers to train # 62, the 1:20pm from Waldwick."

Glen Rock Police detoured all west bound traffic on Harristown Road down Glen Avenue to Maple Avenue during their investigation.
