CLIFTON, NJ -- TAPintoTV caught up with Rubby Perez, famous Dominican merengue star, at the annual Mustard Seed Dinner Dance Gala at the Valley Regency. The event was a fundraiser for the Mustard Seed Community in the Dominican Republic, which supports orphaned children with both physical and mental disabilities.
“Whenever there is something that needs to be done for the community, something to be done for people who really need it,” said Perez, “I will be there.” Perez and his band were the headliners of the event. Perez explained that he appears at charitable events like this so that others understand that “there really are people that care about others.”
“For me, it’s incredible to be able to contribute in this way because at the same time, I am giving joy,” he added.
