GLEN ROCK, NJ - A downed tree on Edgemont Road after last evening's nor'easter storm, which cut power in the neighborhood, was an example of Mother Nature's power and how dangerous such storms can be.
PSE&G and Glen Rock Police were out in force to clear the matter as soon as possible on Oct. 17, the morning after the storm when the winds began to die down.
According to the National Weather Service, sest winds will continute throughout the day at 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 to 60 mph throughout the "entire tri-state area until 6 p.m. this evening."
The National Weather Service continues to warn those out and about today: "Due to wet soil and most trees with leaves still on them, strong winds may blow down large limbs and/or trees in addition to power lines. Scattered power outages are expected."
