FLEMINGTON, N.J. – A 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, according to a press release today from Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III.
The arrest follows an investigation by Kearns’ Special Victims Unit and Readington police.
Tre Thigpen, 19, of Bridgewater, was arrested Sept. 20 after an investigation revealed the crime took place in May and involved an adult, the release states. Thigpen was released pending a court date.
Kearns said that if found guilty, Thigpen could be sentenced to 18 months in jail.
The press release was issued jointly by Kearns, his Chief of Detectives Frank R. Crisologo and Readington Police Chief Joseph Greco.
