RARITAN TWP., NJ – Police here released today details on a series of unrelated arrests.

  • Jennifer Kornas, 45 of Branchburg, was arrested by Det. Cpl. Scott Iglay around 6 p.m. Dec. 19. Police said she stole a credit card from a vehicle and made more than $800 purchases with it. The initial report was taken by Patrol Officer Eli Walters.
  • Sgt. Robert Landolina arrested Joseph L. Fernandez, 34, of Miami, around 12:50 a.m. Dec. 20 after stopping him for careless driving on Route 202 near Barley Sheaf Road around 12:50 a.m. Dec. 20, police said. Fernandez was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and given motor vehicle summonses charging him with having a cracked windshield and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
  • Police said Patrol Officer Eli Walters arrested Jacob Rivera, 20, of South Bound Brook, around 8:43 a.m. Dec. 22 after Rivera entered a  home on Beehive Lane without permission. He was charged with simple assault and possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana.
  • Patrol Officer William McEnroe stopped Zachary Ballecteros, 25, of Hazlet, on Route 31 near Wawa for failure to maintain lane around 1:09 a.m. Dec. 23, and ended up arresting him on a charge of possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, according to police. Ballecteros was also issued motor vehicle summonses charging him with having an obstructed view and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
  • Cpl. Christopher Vallat stopped Martha Heckel, 42, of Hamilton, for speeding on Route 31 near Gaunt Place around 1 a.m. Dec. 24, police said, and arrested her for possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana. She was also charged with speeding (65 in a 45 mph zone) and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
  • Denise Baehr, 56, of Flemington, was arrested by patrol Officer Ismael Mendez around 12:10 p.m. Dec. 26. She was charged with fourth-degree assault by auto and driving while intoxicated, and given motor vehicle summonses charging her with driving while intoxicated within 1,000 feet of a school zone, careless driving, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and disregard of a stop sign.
  • Alonzo D. Blakey, 45, of New Brunswick and Nicole A. Jackson, 39, of Bridgewater were charged with shoplifting $250 worth of merchandise from Flemington Department Store by Patrol Officer Robert Schenck around 6:42 p.m. Dec. 26.
  • Patrol Officer William McEnroe stopped Phoebe E. Deshazo, 19, of Millsboro, Del., for speeding on Route 31 near Walter Foran Boulevard around 1:59 a.m. Dec. 30, police said. She was arrested and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and given motor vehicle summonses charging her with speeding (64 in a 45 mph zone), failure to stop and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
  • Paigeann Howey, 22 of Washington, was stopped for having improperly tinted windows by Patrol Officer Brett Szatkowski around 10:03 a.m. Jan. 2. She was arrested and charged with  possession of less than 50 grams marijuana and issued summonses charging her with improperly tinted windows, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and having an obstructed view.
  • Christina Boyer, 33, of Flemington was stopped on Old York Road near Route 202 for aggressive driving by Cpl. Christopher Vallat around 7:50 p.m. Jan. 3, police said.  She was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and being under the influence, and given summonses charging her with reckless driving, delaying traffic and failure to produce an insurance card.
