FLEMINGTON, NJ – The word is that Borough Council will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the old Historic Courthouse on Main Street here.
Notice of the meeting hasn’t been posted to the borough website and TAPinto was not officially notified of the meeting. But Council President Brain Swingle told a meeting of the Flemington Community Partnership board this morning that officials do plan to meet.
Swingle said the agenda isn’t yet clear. At the minimum, he said, Council will likely vote to again designate Jack Cust as the re-developer of the Union Hotel and its surrounding properties. The current agreement with him has expired.
Swingle said officials are working on a new redeveloper’s agreement with Cust, but Swingle didn’t know if would be ready in time for Thursday’s meeting.
