Boys Soccer: Hunterdon Central Opens with 4-0 Win at Ridge

BASKING RIDGE, NJ - The Hunterdon Central boys soccer team opened its season with a 4-0 victory over Ridge in 90-degree heat Thursday afternoon on the road.

Salman Ghiya scored two goals in this battle of Red Devils, as Hunterdon Central scored two goals in each half. Josh Bordwick and Matt Tetreault each contributed a goal and an assist.

Hunterdon Central outshot Ridge, 10-3. Dan Mecadon made three saves for Hunterdon Central. Ridge got six saves from Biron Arcentales.

I commend high school students around Hunterdon County for planning 17-minute walk-outs on March 14 in support of the students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida.
