CLINTON TWP., NJ - Hunterdon Land Trust is sponsoring a full-course dinner that celebrates local and seasonal foods on Sunday, Sept. 24 at the Beaver Brook Country Club. It’s a tasty way to support the places you love in Hunterdon.

Chef Matt McPherson, of Matt’s Red Rooster Grill, will create culinary magic with food provided by local farmers. Julie Klein, chef and owner of Lovin’ Oven restaurant in Frenchtown, will complete the meal with a delicious dessert.

The celebration begins at 5 p.m. with a cocktail hour featuring wines from Beneduce Vineyards, appetizers and live music with the Tom McMillan Trio.

This year’s dinner will recognize HLT's Farmers’ Market farmers and vendors, and feature a talk by Alex Sawatzky of Sandbrook Meadow Farm in Stockton. Dinner guests will also enjoy a toast with Ironbound Hard Cider.

Local farms participating in the dinner are: Apple Ridge Farm, Best in Bloom Bouquets, Bobolink Dairy & Bakehouse, Comeback Farm, Fieldstone Coffee Roasters, Griggstown Farm, Locktown Farm, Phillips Farms, Purely Farm, River Lea House, Sandbrook Meadow Farm, Sweet Valley Farms and WoodsEdge Farm.

The event features a silent auction with a selection of unique items and experiences including: a $300 yard clean up from Peragrin LLC; a stay at the Woolverton Inn in Stockton; a Metropolitan Seafood dinner for four featured four steamed lobsters, clams and more; a gourmet Mediterranean food basket from Food Match.

Everyone attending the dinner will receive a ticket to win a basket full of HLT Farmers’ Market goodies.

Tickets cost $150 each. Proceeds from the dinner benefit HLT’s efforts to protect the places you love in Hunterdon.
