Historian Stephanie B. Stephens speaks about her ninth history book, "The Journey, Origins of Jewish Life in Hunterdon County."

Beginning in 1885, hundreds of thousands of Jewish people were saved from a life of serfdom under the Russian Tsars by a wealthy humanitarian, Baron Maurice de Hirsch, who sponsored their immigration to America. Some came to Hunterdon. Come hear the poignant story of their new lives as American farmers and tradesmen and their contributions to our community.

Interactive Shabbat services begin at 6:45 p.m.; dinner and the featured presentation follow at 7:30
