Every month, the shop will feature a new artist, along with local children’s artwork.

Chirp also plans to host community events such as a monthly Ladies Night Out and Halloween fun for kids and pets, and will also hold workshops such as personalized sign-making and children’s crafts.

The owner, Jessica Wallace, lives and works in Flemington and fell in love with the charm of Turntable Junction and Chirp’s “little red barn” façade.  She hand-paints, refinishes, and upcycles vintage and antique furniture and has curated more than 20 other vendors from across the country to fill her shop.  She believes in fostering community and especially children’s creativity.

From noon until 2 p.m. this Saturday - rain or shine - Chirp will offer free grand opening fun such as balloons for kids, face-painting, henna tattoos, a dessert table and giveaways.

The shop’s opening weekend hours will be noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Normal store hours will be Thursday/Friday from noon to 7:30; Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m..  Monday through Wednesday evenings are by appointment only, although shopping will be allowed during special events held on those days.
