I'm Dominick Puzio and I'm running for Hunterdon County Sheriff. I am a Detective currently serving at the highest level of law enforcement as an investigator for the State of New Jersey.

I have been in law enforcement for over 18 years and have served in many roles from Corrections to an Instructor for various agencies at the State Police Academy in Sea Girt. Prior to becoming an investigator, my career started as an officer serving all of our local communities throughout the state including instructing at the state police academy for multiple state agencies. Today, I support major County, State, and Federal Agencies in the most sensitive of law enforcement areas.

What I'm most proud of is my family. My wife Heather and I live in Raritan Township with our three beautiful children. We love this community, and we can't imagine raising our children anywhere else.

I'm running for Sheriff because I believe Hunterdon County deserves more from their public servants and as a community we should demand more.  I have dedicated my entire career to public service and I will be the Sheriff your family can rely on.

I strongly believe in keeping politics out of law enforcement policies/practices. I will work with all parties to make educated decisions that affect our community. The Hunterdon County Sheriff should serve and protect ALL residents of our County regardless of where a person was born, sexual orientation, race, creed, color, and religion.

Leadership in law enforcement is not about titles or positions.  It’s about real and relevant programs that give help to those in need before they turn to a life of crime. It’s about one life influencing another, inspiring others to do better and to take initiatives that make our community safe while effecting real and positive change.

We are embarking on a challenging and rewarding venture, to make our community safe while assisting victims of drug addiction and supporting local law enforcement. I’m asking for your support on November 5.
