SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – This year marks Edison Heating and Cooling’s 30th anniversary and, in honor of its three decades of service, the company is offering customers special bonus savings. Through the end of June, residential costumers can receive $2,000 off any combined high-efficiency furnace and air conditioner purchase and installation.

“Our Double Coupon Special, in honor of our three decades of service, is good toward all 95-percent AFUE or higher gas furnaces purchased with any 16.00 or higher SEER central air conditioner,” said Edison Heating and Cooling’s owner Mike Iarrapino. “Our goal is for all homeowners to be able to get the best possible system for their home at our lowest price, while also qualifying for current and available manufacture and state high-efficiency rebates.”

According to Iarrapino, homeowner’s should have their cooling units checked and, if necessary, replaced, before the hot days of summer are upon us. “You want to have your AC system checked and replaced before it gets hot. We book up fast and, if the unit goes in the middle of summer, you could be at the mercy of any old company,” he said.

Edison Heating and Cooling began in 1987 as a one-man operation with Iarrapino running the business out of the basement of his childhood home. Back then, he provided service to customers from his hometown of Edison and the surrounding communities. As business grew, Iarrapino moved into a facility in South Plainfield and, over the years, the company relocated to larger facilities within in the borough. In May 2015, Iarrapino relocated Edison Heating and Cooling back to his hometown and its current home, a 38,000-square-foot facility on Vineyard Road.

What began as a small, independently-run and operated company has, over the years, grown into a full-service residential, commercial and industrial HVAC company with over 100 employees and a 68-vehicle fleet.

Edison Heating and Cooling provides installation, repair and maintenance of heating and cooling systems, generators, air cleaners, humidifiers and dehumidifiers, boilers, water heaters, zoning systems and chimney liners as well as oil-to-gas conversion. The company, which services Bergen, Essex, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Somerset and Union counties, and also offers financing and 24-hour emergency assistance seven days a week, 365 days a year.

All of Edison’s technicians are trained, certified, licensed and full-time employees – not sub-contractors – who are knowledgeable about state codes and building regulations and who can sell, install and service all makes and models of HVAC equipment.

“Installation day is just as important – if not more – than the equipment purchased. You can have the best equipment, but if it is not installed properly, it is not going to matter,” Iarrapino said.

Additionally, all of the company’s service and installation crews drive vehicles that store parts and tools to ensure accurate, quick and efficient service.

“Our goal today is the same as it was 30 years ago – we pride ourselves on offering 100-percent customer satisfaction and the best service and products,” Iarrapino said, adding, “We stand by our products and our work and we go out of the way for our customers.”

Listed with the Better Business Bureau as an accredited business, Edison Heating and Cooling maintains an A+ rating and has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the ‘The Angie’s List Super Service Award’ (2013) and the 'Carrier President’s Award' for the past five consecutive years (since 2013). Over the years, the company has also received the Multiple ‘Dave Lennox’ awards as well as the Lennox ‘Circle of Excellence Dealer’ award numerous times. Additionally, Iarrapino is a member of the South Plainfield Business Association and the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA).

“The awards and the reviews we have received are proof that offering someone a product built to last with service you can count on and from a company they can trust makes all the difference,” Iarrapino said, adding, “With us, you aren’t buying an air conditioning or a heating system; you’re buying into a company with a long history of dedication, reliability, integrity and great workmanship. We aren’t going anywhere and plan to be in business for another 30 years.”

Edison Heating and Cooling is located at 191 Vineyard Road in Edison. Non-emergency hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays until 5 p.m. For more information, visit www.edisonhvac.com or call 732-372-7161.

Candidates 'Weaponized' News Article

To the editor:

I was dismayed to see my 2014 news reportage inaccurately weaponized by council members Marc Hain and Brooke Warden in their campaign flier attacking Al Brewer. The headline “School security at issue: Flemington-Raritan board member accused of leaking secrets” is less than a half-truth, given the ensuing revelation.

Marc and Brook ignored my follow-up report in ...
