RARITAN TWP. -- The Hunterdon County Board Of Agriculture will hold its annual dinner meeting, open to the public, on Saturday, Nov. 19 at the Elks Lodge, 165 Rt. 31.
The event includes a presentation by Myranda Bond, of West Amwell Township, the New Jersey State FFA president, highlighting her trip earlier this year to South Africa. She went there for the International Leadership Seminar for State Officers, a program designed to empower current and past state FFA officers by providing them with global perspective. Bond is also the 2016 Hunterdon County 4-H and Agricultural Fair Ambassador.
The ag board is the county division of state Farm Bureau organization, which is part of the American Farm Bureau Federation, the nation’s leading voice for ag interests. The board over the years has played a major role in creating what have become county institutions, including Hunterdon Medical Center and the 4-H and Agricultural Fair.
The dinner costs $30 per person. The event starts with a 6 p.m. social hour, with dinner served at 7. The Elks Lodge is about two miles north of the Route 202-31-12 traffic circle, next to the Subaru dealer. Reservations must be made and dinners paid for by noon on Friday, Nov. 11.
