RARITAN TWP., NJ – Details are emerging about a new Hindu temple that its members want to build on Barley Sheaf Road here.

The non-profit Sanathana Dharma Foundation wants to build the house of worship and a two-unit priest quarters. They would be built on a 9.5-acre lot on the section that runs between Route 202 and Voorhees Corner Road.

The Planning Board will review the plans at its meeting Wednesday. They call for a one-story, 10,482-square-foot temple with 100 seats. Each unit of the priest quarters would be 1,325 square feet, according to the draft plans.

The Planning Board meets in the Municipal Building off Route 523 at 7 p.m.
