Flemington Borough Council 2017 Primary Results

FLEMINGTON, NJ – It looks like the November ballot for Borough Council here will be a crowded one.

Republican incumbents Brian Swingle and Kim Tilly ran unopposed for their party’s nominations, and received 150 and 160 votes each, respectively.

Democrat Harry Gerdes ran unopposed for a Democratic spot on the ballot. He received 177 votes.

But there were 19 write-in votes for a second Democrat to be on the ballot. Betsy Driver was the top vote-getter.

Two candidates will appear on the ballot as independent candidates. They are Michael Harris and Warren Buckleitner.

These results were released by County Clerk Mary Melfi. They are unofficial because they have not yet been certified.

Edito's note: This article has been updated to clarify the write-in results and correct Harry Gerdes' name. We regret the error.
