FLEMINGTON, NJ - The Flemington-Raritan Regional Board of Education is looking to appoint a new board member following member Sandra Borucki's resignation at the Jan. 6 reorganization meeting.

Anyone interested in being on the board can apply for appointment as Flemington Borough representative. The term of the appointment will run until Dec. 31, 2020.

To be considered for the board, applicants must be able to read and write; hold U.S. citizenship and be a resident of Flemington for at least one year; have no interest in any contract or claim against the board; not hold office as a member of a municipal governing body within the school district; be registered to vote in Flemington; and satisfy a criminal history background check.

The deadline to apply is Jan. 31 at 4 p.m. The board expects to interview candidates in February.
