RARITAN TWP., , NJ – Patrol Officer Adam Swiatek arrested Brittany R. Rash, 28, of the township and Thomas G. Connell, 29, of Hamilton, and charged each with narcotics offenses after a motor vehicle stop on Copper Hill Road around 11:41 p.m. Sept. 22.

Police said Rash was initially stopped for delaying traffic. She was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (heroin) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Rash also was issued motor vehicle summonses charging her with delaying traffic and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

Connell was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (heroin) and possession of hypodermic syringes. Both were released.

In a separate incident, Patrol Officer Anthony Moreno arrested Danish Rashid, 26 of Philadelphia, after a motor vehicle stop on Route 202-31 around 2:54 a.m. Sept. 20. Police said Rashid was initially stopped for having an expired vehicle registration.

Rashid was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, and given motor vehicle summonses for an unregistered vehicle, failure to exhibit documents, driving with a suspended license and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. The vehicle was towed and Danish was released.
