RARITAN TWP., NJ – Hunterdon Drug Awareness Program’s 23rd annual Golf Classic, “Drive to be Drug Free!” takes place on Monday, May 14 at the Heron Glen Golf Course, 110 Route 202-31.

Golfers will have a full day of golf and entertainment at Heron Glen, the county-owned course, while supporting people working to recover from alcoholism and substance addiction. Early Bird Registration is $150 until Friday, April 13 and the regular price is $165 per player. Check-in begins at 11:30 a.m. followed by lunch and then a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

The event includes a round of golf and cart, lunch, on-course beverages, dinner, prizes, goodie bags, player gifts and contests. Hole-in-One prizes include a Flemington Car & Truck Country two-year vehicle lease and a Flemington Furs mink valued up to $10,000. Many other prizes will also be awarded. HDAP is based in Flemington and serves residents of Hunterdon and surrounding counties.

Proceeds benefit its treatment program by providing financial assistance to individuals in need of alcohol and substance abuse outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment who don’t have the money to get the help they need. HDAP does not turn any person away in need of services. Corporate sponsorship is $975 and includes a foursome and associated recognition benefits. Other ways to participate include tee sign sponsors and program book advertising.
