EAST AMWELL - Today's Hunterdon Community Day was to be held rain or shine. Although it looked like rain this morning, the sun broke around 11, and throngs were descended on South County Park here on Route 179, just outside of Ringoes.
Fire trucks, a petting zoo and display of historic military artifacts by John Dwyer of Clintron Township are among the big draws. The Hunterdon Flutterwheels and Marshall's Dixieland band are major entertainment attractions.
The event continues until 4 p.m. today. For more information, visit the website. The day was organized by the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce.
