HUNTERDON COUNTY, NJ – The Hunterdon County Freeholder Board and Hunterdon Medical Group are adding a third day of COVID-19 testing each week, Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for appointments without a physician's prescription at the HMG site on Route 31 South, Suite 100.
"COVID-19 testing and contact tracing continues to be important keys to controlling the spread once positive cases are identified and self-quarantine can be implemented," deputy director Sue Soloway said in a release. "To date, the Hunterdon County Health Department has conducted over 13,000 contacts through the tracing program."
Testing will now be provided Mondays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Appointments are available Nov. 30, Dec. 1, Dec. 7, Dec. 8 and Dec. 10 at this time.
To make an appointment, call 908-237-4230. First responders, medical personnel, educators and critical infrastructure employees, or anyone who has frequent contact with the public while working, who live or work in Hunterdon County, can schedule an appointment.
"COVID-19 activity is increasing in Hunterdon County, and identifying positive cases is critical to controlling the spread of illness and preventing additional outbreaks in the community," Health Officer Karen DeMarco said. "Residents are urged to continue to take measures to protect their health as we enter the holiday season."
