HUNTERDON COUNTY, NJ - In accordance with the Governor’s Executive Orders, the Hunterdon County YMCA is pleased to offer a number of programs to promote the health and well-being of the community. The safety of members, program participants, and staff is the number one priority. The Y is following guidelines from health experts and local officials to ensure that programs meet the highest standards for hygiene and safety, and the Y has modified our policies and programs to facilitate safe physical/social distancing practices.

The Hunterdon County YMCA is excited to announce integrated indoor and outdoor aquatics programming at the Y’s two pools; the Indoor Pool at the Deer Path Branch, Flemington and the Outdoor Pool at Camp Carr, Annandale. Both pools are open for member lap swimming. Online reservations are required.  Spaces are open in 45-minute increments to allow 15 minutes for cleaning and sanitizing in between use.

In addition, the Camp Carr Outdoor pool hosts training for the HCY’s Stingrays Swim Team. With the health and safety of all as a top priority, the Y is reintroducing aquatics programming in phases. Upcoming phases will include Family Swim, Water Exercise, and Swim Lessons.

Hunterdon County YMCA outdoor fitness classes are underway and members are enjoying the opportunity to exercise outdoors with their favorite instructors. Outdoor Group Fitness classes are offered at both the Deer Path Branch in Flemington and Round Valley Branch in Annandale. Classes include Boot Camp, Pilates, Tabata, Kickboxing, Yoga, Zumba, Senior Fitness and more. All classes are included with Y Full Facility Membership and advanced class registration is required.

Additionally, the Hunterdon County YMCA continues its tradition of instruction in the style of American Isshinryu karate under Martial Arts Coordinator Sensei Jack Atwell. Outdoor Martial Arts classes for both youth and adults are available at the Deer Path Branch.

The HCY is offering summer camp and childcare to re-engage youth in Hunterdon during these challenging days of isolation.  Programs encourage friendships, physical activity, outdoor play and educational activities for youth. Day camps are offered at Camp Carr in Annandale and Sports Camp in Flemington. Childcare for infants to five-year olds is available at the Y Child Learning Center in Annandale.
