FLEMINGTON, NJ – A Far Hills man has been indicted on sexual assault charges related to incidents in Readington.

Steven B. Mell, 52, was indicted by a Hunterdon County Grand Jury on three counts of second-degree sexual assault and three counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, according to a press release today from Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III.

Kearns said that on July 21 last year, Mell “committed three acts of sexual penetration with a victim less than 16 years old” in Readington and Bedminster (Somerset County).

Mell is scheduled for a post-indictment arraignment on Aug. 27, according to the statement.
