READINGTON, NJ  - More than 40 swimmers from five teams and three counties competed in the 26th annual Special Olympics Area Swim meet hosted by the Hunterdon County YMCA on March 16.

Successful participation in an Area meet is a requirement for an athlete to advance to sectional and state competition. Those are larger meets which bring athletes together from the entire state to compete.

The Hunterdon County YMCA Dolphins Women’s Relay Team won the gold medal in both the 4X x 50 Meter Medley and 4 x 50 Meter Free Relay. Philip Sosidko of the HCY Dolphins won the gold medal in the 200 Meter Butterfly.
