BRIDGEWATER, NJ – The New Britain Bees (22-28, 58-62) defeated the Somerset Patriots (26-24, 64-56) 11-9 on yesterday evening at TD Bank Ballpark.

The Bees rallied from a 9-6 deficit in the top of the ninth inning to score five runs on closer Jon Hunton. Cole Garner hit an RBI single, Michael Crouse drove in a run on a double, and the big hit was a three-run double by Jake McGuiggan.

“Every game matters. That’s the most important thing and we have to take one game at a time. That’s baseball. You can’t always be on the winning side, but as long as you go out and compete every day you hopefully end up on the right side of these games,” said Scott Kelly.
