Ice Hockey: Ridge Loses to Hunterdon Central in OT in Skyland Conference Final

SOMERSET, NJ - Scott Schnell scored with 7:16 left in overtime to give Hunterdon Central a 2-1 ice hockey victory over Ridge in the Skyland Cup championship game Saturday night at Protec Ponds.

The game was scoreless until the 2:53 mark of the third period when Hunterdon Central scored.
With 1:30 left, Dan Knightly fed Matt Fabiunke for a game-tying goal for Ridge (18-6-1) to set up overtime.

Schnell's game-winner came on a power play. Chris Ambrozy of Ridge made 31 saves. Ridge outshot Hunterdon Central, 39-33.

Hunterdon Central defeated Ridge in two of the team's three meetings this season.

There are those of us in Hunterdon County that are still without power almost one week past the first storm. JCP&L has repeatedly changed the time and date of restoration. The spokesman flat-out lied to you when he said all 10,000 customers in Hunterdon would have power restored by Wednesday at 10:30 p.m.
