Kalafer to Speak at Entrepreneurial Launch Party for Kids


READINGTON, NJ – An Entrepreneurial Launch Party will be held at 6 p.m. May 12 at the YMCA on West Woodschurch Road here.

This event is geared for those in the fourth to eighth grades who want to learn about the world of business and entrepreneurship. It is limited to 40 kids and their parents.

The party will feature the award winning game, “Launch,” which was created by Joey and Heidi Hudicka. They founded Productive Play, LLC to provide fun, educational games like “Launch,” books such as The Original Young Entrepreneur’s Dictionary, and other resources.

The program is sponsored by the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the Hunterdon YMCA, Productive Play and the Flemington Car & Truck Country Family of Dealerships.  

Creativity, focus, perseverance and collaboration are just a few of the valuable skills kids acquire while learning about business and entrepreneurship.

Steve Kalafer, the founding Chairman of Flemington Car & Truck Country and the Somerset Patriots, will speak on entrepreneurship.

The winner will be awarded a MacBook Air as a grand prize.

There are those of us in Hunterdon County that are still without power almost one week past the first storm. JCP&L has repeatedly changed the time and date of restoration. The spokesman flat-out lied to you when he said all 10,000 customers in Hunterdon would have power restored by Wednesday at 10:30 p.m.
