Kudos to Delaware Township Candidates

To the editor:

With the impending election just around the corner, I know many of us are tired of the mailings and commercials. Negative attack ads seem to be the new normal in seeking elected office. For this reason, I would like to congratulate the candidates running for Delaware Township Committee. Instead of attacking each other, they are taking the high road by highlighting their experience and stand on the issues. It's refreshing to see individuals engaged in an honorable contest without any of the usual mudslinging which leaves us all feeling dirty. Kudos to our Delaware Township politicians for their principled campaign. How refreshing it would be if those seeking higher offices were to emulate these local candidates.

Carla Kelly-Mackey, Delaware Twp.
