Marionettes Find Reason to Celebrate Everyday Life on Stage at RVCC

BRANCHBURG, NJ - The Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College will present the Cashore Marionettes’ production o fLife in Motion, Saturday, Feb. 6, at 2 and 7 p.m. The presentation, which is suggested for audience members ages 14 and older, is part of the Theatre’s Major Artists Series.

In Life in Motion, Joseph Cashore presents his collection of marionettes portraying characters that convey depth, integrity, and humanity. The performance offers a series of scenes taken from everyday life and is set to music by such composers as Beethoven, Vivaldi, Strauss, and Copland.

Through a combination of virtuoso manipulation, humor, pathos, classical music, and poetic insight, the marionettes take the audience on a journey that celebrates the richness of life.

Life in Motion is a powerful, entertaining, surprising, theatrically satisfying, one-of-a-kind experience for adults and young adults. The Toronto Sun wrote of the Cashore Marionettes: “A wonderful world of breath-taking magic is created by one man and his exquisite marionettes.”
