Matt Ioannidis is a 6-4, 243-pound Strong-Side Defensive End, currently on the injured list for the Washington Football Team, formerly known as the Redskins.

Ioannidis grew up in Raritan Township and attended Hunterdon Central Regional High School. He attended and played college football at Temple University from 2012–2015, where he was chosen First-team All-American Athletic Conference.

Ioannidis made his NFL debut with the Washington Redskins in 2016 in a 29–27 win against the New York Giants. He appeared in ten games during his rookie season, making seven tackles.

Ioannidis left a game against the Cleveland Browns with an arm injury in late September. After Ioannidis was tested, it was discovered that he had a torn biceps, ending his season for 2020/21.
