FLEMINGTON, NJ - For most of us, we are fortunate to live here solely by an accident of birth.
But this “accident” was made possible only be the sacrifices of so many who came before us. Of them, many paid the ultimate price.
Memorial Day is the holiday many wish wasn’t necessary. But even if all war was to end tomorrow, even if the forces of evil were to wiped from the face of the earth, even if those who threaten our freedoms and way of life were to abandon their swords and hatred, our debt to those who led us here would remain.
It is a debt so high that it can never be repaid in full. And that, on this Memorial Day, is worth contemplating.
