RARITAN TWP., NJ – Mayor Karen Gilbert met recently with the manager and assistant manager of the new Costco store that’s coming to Hunterdon County.
The store is currently under construction on Walter Foran Boulevard, opposite Hunterdon Central High School. As previously reported, hiring is already under way.
An informal target date for the store’s grand opening had been set for Oct. 19. But Gilbert said that date has been pushed back a little.
Store officials now plan for a mid-November opening, Gilbert said. The goal is to have it in business “in time for Thanksgiving,” she told Township Committee on Tuesday.
The township Planning Board approved the 150,000-square-foot store in 2013.
