New Flemington IHOP Announces Grand Opening Week Events

FLEMINGTON, NJ -  The new 5,881 square foot IHOP here is now open and its grand opening week will be celebrated from April 11 to April 15.

The restaurant is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday.

The Flemington IHOP is owned by brothers Sanjay and Neal Patel of Imperio Groups. It is the group’s  fifth IHOP and the company’s second in New Jersey.

The Flemington IHOP is the first in Hunterdon and will employ more than 80 local people.

Grand opening week will include daily fun family activities including DJ, bounce house, face painting and a balloon artist. All kids under 12 eat free from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. 

A special grand opening ceremony will be held from 4  to 7 p.m. on April 11. During the event, the restaurant owners will welcome a Children’s Miracle Network child, who -  along with local government officials and business leaders - will participate in a special ribbon cutting ceremony at 6 p.m.

“We selected Flemington because it is an active community with a vibrant business network,” said Sanjay Patel, President of Imperio Groups. “The restaurant is in a visible location and conveniently located on Royal Road, directly off Routes 202 and 31. As business owners, we are committed to creating jobs and supporting the local communities where we have locations.

“We are bringing quality full- and part-time jobs and career opportunities to residents of the greater Flemington and Hunterdon County area. Our entire team welcomes residents and travelers to come and enjoy IHOP’s famous pancakes and food,” he said.

Imperio Groups is a multi-state real estate and development company led by the Patel brothers. They specialize in franchised restaurants, hospitality properties, commercial real estate, education services and international/domestic business consulting. Their Restaurant Division operates nine restaurants led by Ed Auld, Don Ohl and James Cavagnaro, and they expect to open six more this year..

IHOP mascots Charlie Chip, Susie Strawberry and Bonnie Blueberry will also be on hand.

“The Great Pancake Eating Relay Race” – members from the Flemington Volunteer Fire Department and the Raritan Township Fire Company (Station 21) will face off in a pancake eating relay race for bragging rights – 2 to 3 p.m.
