FLEMINGTON, NJ - Oldwick Community Players is casting a staged reading of the play "Belles" by Mark Dunn. Told in two acts and 45 phone calls, "Belles" visits six southern sisters who, over the course of an autumn weekend, seek to bridge the physical and emotional distance between them via the telephone, and in the process come to terms with their shattered family history.

The production, which is a reprise of OCP’s successful reading of "Belles" last spring, is in need of three actors age 18 to 35, one male and two female. Staged reading requires no memorization of script.

The performance will take place on Nov. 5 at the Warren Township Branch of the Somerset County Library, 42 Mountain Blvd. at 2 p.m. Two rehearsals will be held at Flemington DIY at 90 Main Street here on Sunday Oct. 23 and 30 from 2 to 5 p.m.

To schedule an audition, call director Merry LaRue at 908-399-3586 as soon as possible. For more information, visit, find OCP - Oldwick Community Players on Facebook, or email questions to or
