HUNTERDON COUNTY, NJ - Candidates for the upcoming primary elections have been announced, and the only local race is for the Democratic nomination for borough council in Flemington.

There are two seats open on the borough council this year.

Democratic incumbent Caitlin Giles-McCormick is running for the nomination alongside Elizabeth Rosetti. Democratic incumbent Chris Runion is also running for the nomination.

No Republicans have filed to run for the council seats in Flemington.

In Raritan Township, Republican incumbent Jeff Kuhl is seeking the Republican nomination, alongside Scott Sipos.

Democrats Raymond J. Perrotti and Barbara Simoncelli are seeking the Democratic nomination.

There are two open seats on the township committee this year, and winners in the primaries will run for the open seats in November

The primary elections will be held June 8.
