RARITAN TWP., NJ - The first Raritan Township Community Day in a decade will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Lenape Park.
The park is on Route 523 here. A rain date has been set for the following day, Sept. 18.
More than 35 exhibitors and tons of family fun are planned. Entertainment will include a DJ, cheerleading demonstrations and singers. In addition, there will be face-painting, a walkaround in a hot air balloon, demonstrations of robots and fire equipment, an obstacle course, coloring, games, pet adoptions, free giveaways and more.
Displays will cover health info including free blood pressure screenings, open space and environmental issues, the community garden, pollinators and butterflies, various schools' activities and several charitable organizations.
Police, fire, rescue, public works, race cars, and the Bookmobile will be on display. The Raritan Township Biggest Tree Competition winners will be announced. Food and beverages will be available for sale.
