CLINTON, NJ - Clinton Public School’s theme this year is: Communication, Pride, Service.
As a school, CPS continues to extend its learning to the community to prepare students for future endeavors. The second grade students are learning about the impact of homelessness in the U.S.
This month, Clinton Public School is joining the efforts of others nationally to prove that even the smallest acts of love, like donating a pair of socks, can make a big difference in the lives of those who are homeless.
The students are reaching out to community partners to collect donations of socks to give to local organizations as they prepare for winter weather. The socks will be donated to The New York City Relief (based in Elizabeth) and Safe Harbor Easton (in Easton, Pa.). Different drop off locations have been set up within the community to encourage others to participate in this cause.
Socks can be dropped off at The Towne Restaurant (31 Main St., Clinton) or The Clinton Book Shop (12 Main St. Clinton).
