Somerset Patriots Host Comic Con at TD Bank Ballpark

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Somerset Patriots will host their Fifth Annual Ballpark Comic Con at TD Bank Ballpark on Saturday, June 24 presented by the Hugs For Brady Foundation.

The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. and last throughout the game.

Ballpark Comic Con offers fans and comic books lovers a unique experience combining family fun, baseball and all things comics.

The first 1,500 Kids in attendance will receive Superhero/Patriotic themed Socks.

Fans are encouraged to dress up as comic characters and participate in costume contests.

In celebration of the hit movie Guardians of The Galaxy Volume 2, fans will be able to take pictures with Star- Lord, Groot, and Rocket from 6 to 8 p.m.

The Somerset Patriots will host a special silent auction featuring comic-related items, unique experiences, and with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the Hugs For Brady Foundation. Items available include New York Yankees tickets, Rutgers Football tickets, a Somerset County Golf package, exclusive comic artwork by Will Torres, a Somerville restaurant package, tickets to see Aladdin on Broadway and much more.

Torres will be on site and draw exclusive sketch covers for fans in attendance.

Vendors include Wild Pig Comics, Bazooka Jeff's Batcave and Mirrors By Design.

Tickets for the event start at $11 and include Ballpark Comic Con admission and the Somerset Patriots game scheduled for 7:05 p.m. against the New Britain Bees.

More activities, vendors, and special guests are still being added for this event.

The Hugs for Brady Foundation is dedicated to helping children with childhood cancers. Their moral compass has directed them to support children with cancer in any and every way possible. Recently, Hugs for Brady passed the $1 million milestone to help kids with cancer.

One Week, No Power in High Bridge

There are those of us in Hunterdon County that are still without power almost one week past the first storm. JCP&L has repeatedly changed the time and date of restoration. The spokesman flat-out lied to you when he said all 10,000 customers in Hunterdon would have power restored by Wednesday at 10:30 p.m.
