FLEMINGTON, NJ – A senior corrections officer at Edna Mahan Correctional Facility has been arrested and charged on 15 counts.

Coleman has worked at the Mahan facility – which is in Union Township and is the state’s only women’s prison – since Sept., 2000, the release states. While there, he had a sexual relationship with three of its inmates, Kearns said.
Coleman was charged with seven counts of second-degree official misconduct; two counts of second-degree sexual assault; two counts of second-degree conspiracy to commit sexual assault; one count of second-degree pattern of official misconduct; and three counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.
Bethlehem (Pa.) police assisted in the arrest and Coleman was lodged in Northampton County Jail to await extradition to New Jersey, Kearns said.
