The blue line was painted in the center of Main Street in 2016 to honor the police department. In response, Flemington DIY placed in their window a 'Black Lives Matter" sign.

Recently, Flemington Mayor Betsy Driver had the blue line painted over, and then a lone citizen took it upon herself to repaint the blue line in protest.
