Wheelmen New Rider Roundup this Sunday

KINGWOOD, NJ - Tired of looking at that old bike hanging in the garage? Dust it off and come out and ride with the Western Jersey Wheelmen on Sunday, May 21.

The ride will be leaving from Brunello Trattoria, 300 Old Croton Rd., here at 10 a.m. Use Flemington for GPS.

The New Rider Roundup Ride is up on the Kingwood plateau - no hills! It is open to new and experienced riders.

This will be a slow paced ride, 10-12 mph. No riders left behind. Ride leaders will go over rider etiquette and safety before the ride. Helmets and signature on waiver are required. Riders under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. After the ride, Brunello Trattoria will be open for lunch and socializing.

The Western Jersey Wheelmen is a year-round recreational bicycle club, sponsoring road and off road rides throughout the year and catering to all ability levels. Social events and special rides bring us together periodically throughout the year. More information can be found on the WJW website:

One Week, No Power in High Bridge

There are those of us in Hunterdon County that are still without power almost one week past the first storm. JCP&L has repeatedly changed the time and date of restoration. The spokesman flat-out lied to you when he said all 10,000 customers in Hunterdon would have power restored by Wednesday at 10:30 p.m.
