Medal Of Honor Ceremony For Therapy Horse

This event is honoring the only service animal in New Jersey to be awarded National 2017 Planetree Therapy Animal Medal of Honor (1 of 15 in the country).

Spring Thaw is a horse who gave his all in the EAGALA Certified equine assisted psychotherapy arena at local New Jersey nonprofit Spring Reins of Life.

Veterans and the NJ VA Healthcare System will award Spring this honor at Hunt Cap Farms in Three Bridges.

Since 2012, Spring Thaw has served more than 700 combat veterans from Iraq, Afghanistan and Vietnam. This award is bittersweet because on Jan 20, Spring - at almost 31 years old - was laid to rest.

Raritan Township Voters Need to be Aware

October 15, 2018

To the editor:

I feel the Raritan Township residents have a need to know. I, for one am tired of being led like a lemming to the cliff. Voters need to be aware of issues that affect them and need to be made aware of what politicians, those in office and running for office stand for. As voters we need to vote with our head not our heart and we need to be informed. We need to vote on what we ...

Raritan Township's Republican Candidates for Township Committee

To the editor:

The Republican candidates for Raritan Township Committee have launched their written campaign. Not by addressing any issues but by guilt by association. They say you should not vote for the Democratic candidates because of their association with Democratic state and national leaders. The issues of Raritan Township are matters onto their own and have nothing to do with state and ...

Appreciation to Sergeantsville Firefighters

To the editor:

An unexpected loss of life occurred this week during a meeting of the Delaware township seniors. My heart goes out to the family who lost their loved one. As I understand it, the Sergeantsville Fire Department and Delaware Township police department, in addition to several individuals who happened to be present, took quick action in trying to save this beloved community ...

Courthouse Square Negotiation Points

To the editor:

Earlier yesterday morning I had a very productive conversation with Mr. Jack Cust, Flemington Borough's Courthouse Square Developer. We are in the process of scheduling a meeting together with my fellow Council members Betsy Driver and Susan Peterson, and I await his next contact to finalize.

As the Courthouse Square project nears the end of the local ...

Lou Reiner's 'Ugly Personal Attacks'

To the editor:

The farce of Raritan Township municipal government was once again on display during the Oct. 2 Township Committee meeting. Committeeman Craig O’Brien read out loud a nasty note he received from fellow Committeeman Lou Reiner.

But it was O’Brien that was castigated by Deputy Mayor Karen Gilbert, for daring to reveal what Reiner wrote. No one tried to stop ...

Loew Orthodontics 14th Annual Patient Appreciation Day

October 15, 2018

September 21, 2018 marked Loew Orthodontics 14th annual Patient Appreciation Day at Deer Path Park. This year was especially exciting as it was Dr. Patel’s first PAD experience with us! Dr. Patel shared her creativity by painting beautiful henna tattoos. Our friend Bubbles the Clown returned this year to paint faces and create balloon animals for all the little ones. Bluebird Hill Events ...
