The New Jersey Chapter of Room to Read is partnering with Sweet Reads and HaHa4Humanity to present Laughs for Literacy at Willie McBride's in Branchburg on Thursday, Feb. 28 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Ticket price includes a pizza buffet and four comedians sharing their time and talent for good cause. Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite in advance for $30, or $40 at the door.

Hunterdon Freeholder Should Step Down

To the editor,

I am confused. I will admit that at my age it is sometimes easy to confuse me.

We have a Hunterdon Freeholder who was found slumped over the wheel of his vehicle on the side of the road at 5:30 p.m. on the 5th of August but was not cited until September. Is that because he is a Freeholder and running for re-election?

I was told he had been at a golf outing during the day.
