TAPinto Flemington Raritan is proud to support the presentation of virtual arts and performance event offerings in cooperation with Flemington DIY, showcasing outstanding artists and performers from Hunterdon County.

All events will be streamed live for free, and you’ll need a laptop or computer with video capacity to view - most often on Facebook Live, Instagram Live or Zoom.

Starting this Thursday, May 14th, we will launch the new digital variety show featuring performances and interviews -  highlighting visual artists and acoustic performances from Hunterdon County musicians and storytellers. And whatever else our wonderful community has to offer - so that we celebrate and support each other during this significant time in our lives.

Kev Von Holt: “I almost never use paintbrushes. Most of my work is done with my fingers, palette knives, strips of cardboard and squirt bottles. I work so fast and chaotic that I rarely even notice it all come together. There is really no rhyme or reason to what I do or how I approach it; it just happens. When I paint I just wait for the spark and reach into my past and present emotions and enjoy every frantic moment of it.”  Hunterdon County Democrat, January 2015

Dan Kassel: “Emotionally provocative and layered in symphonic warmth, Dan Kassel's solo cello music brings this classical instrument to new heights. Using an acoustic cello, a Boss RC-50 looping station and minimal effects, Dan bridges the gaps between Klezmer and Irish folk, Indian classical and down-tempo electronic music, levity and suspense. His ability to use technology to loop and layer his instrument into expansive tapestries of sound is impressive, but the element that really stands out is the cello's deep and moving resonance. His work has been featured by WXPN, NJ.com and other independent blogs, and his piece, "Moonslice," won accolades in 2014's International Songwriting Contest.” Dan Kassel’s website

Spook Handy: “In the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic, I am more determined than ever to continue in my small way to use the gift of music to help support the efforts of those who understand that we are all in this together; that this is a time to double down on loving our neighbor and forgiving others; and that we need to help build the community of reasonably minded people who see a path forward in the coming elections to put into office people with good sense and good hearts.  These are very challenging times that are leading us to an unpredictable future.” Spook Handy's website
