HUNTERDON COUNTY, NJ - The Hunterdon County Education Association is seeking nominations for the sixth annual Friends of Education Gala, which will be held May 1 at Razberry's Caterers in Frenchtown.

The association will be honoring three individuals who have made significant contributions to public education in Hunterdon County.

Nominees, according to a release, can be active or retired education professionals, administrators, past or present students, PTO/PTA members, board of education members, elected officials, parents or concerned citizens. They should be someone who has made a significant contribution to public education in a Hunterdon County school, district or the county public school system as a whole.

According to the release, service can include volunteerism, helping individuals or groups of students, improving a school or district in a unique way or raising awareness of public education or a particular cause associated with a school.

The selection committee will read through applications and make decisions, with a maximum of three awards given out each year.
