RARITAN TWP., NJ – Flemington’s Food Truck Festival is happening now through tomorrow, Saturday Nov. 30, at Flemington Car & Truck Country’s Family of Dealerships. So in addition to the 16 brands represented here – with an inventory of more than 6,000 cars and trucks – shoppers can also scoop up their choice of lobster, tacos, burgers, and much, much more.
The Festival is being held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
The promotion is the brainchild of Chris Messina at Ditschman/Flemington Ford Lincoln. He's the store's sales manager and was all smiles this morning as turkey-weary foodies followed their noses and the giant American flags to sample from a wide array of offerings.
Cousins Maine Lobster is at Ditschman/Flemington Ford-Lincoln. Cousins' specialty is obviously lobster, including Lobster BLTs, but Maine Whole Belly Fried Clams and Maine Harvest Salad are also specialties.
Mezoco Mexican Taqueria is serving up fresh tacos, quesadillas and more at Ditschman Used Cars.
Taxi Cab Burger is stationed at Flemington Porsche/Audi/VW today. It’s perhaps best known for its special Cab Burger, which is a pure beef slider topped with caramelized onions and American cheese “enrobed” in a Hawaiian sweet roll. Tomorrow, look for the Beach Shack truck, whose lobster mac and cheese and Crab Rangoon are considered by some to be “worth dying for.”
The Little Sicilian truck is doing big business at Flemington Chevrolet/Buick/GMC/Cadillac. It serves classic Sicilian street food including Arancini, which are rice balls that are as popular in Italy as French fries are here.
Latin Bites awaits you at Flemington INFINITI and Flemington Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge/Ram. Among its specialties are Alcapurria – a fritter dish from Puerto Rico – and lobster empanadas.
Jersey Johnny is at Flemington BMW, where deep fried hot dogs with a signature chili sauce and hand pressed burgers are the top of the menu.
BroRitos is stationed at Flemington Subaru. They’re wild about burritos, but they’re also known for their tacos and quesadillas.
A caution to readers: Please note that while there is no pressure to buy or lease a vehicle during the Festival – after all, Flemington Car & Truck is family owned, not corporate – you will almost certainly find the food irresistible.
