FLEMINGTON, NJ – The Hunterdon County Cultural and Heritage Commission has released its schedule of upcoming summer workshops.
All workshops will be held at the old Historic Courthouse at 71 Main St. here.
Any art, history, or cultural nonprofit organization interested in learning more about grant opportunities through the Local Arts Program (LAP) or the County History Partnership Program (CHPP) is encouraged to register.
The schedule is as follows:
- Wednesday, July 10: County History Partnership Program (CHPP), 6 p.m. (New time.)
- Wednesday, July 17: Local Arts Program (LAP),10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, July 24: ADA Sensitivity Training, 10 a.m.
The workshops will highlight changes that have been made to the application as well as a total review of the requirements for a successful submission. Grant writers for interested organizations are encouraged to attend. A full understanding of the process, including matching funds, total available funds, allowable expenses, and proper completion of budgetary forms increases an applicant’s chances of receiving funding.
John McEwen, who has served as Executive Director of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance since 2001, will facilitate the ADA Sensitivity Training. Participants will gain a greater understanding of requirements for ADA compliance as well as how to eliminate barriers through disability awareness. Attendance is mandatory for all current regrantee organizations.
