RARITAN TWP., NJ – Hunterdon Healthcare – the corporate parent of Hunterdon Medical Center - has stepped up its effort to help care for LGBTQIA patients and families.

LGBTQIA stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Intersex and Asexual.

HMC has announced that Sara Trawin  is the nurse navigator dedicated to serving these patients.

Services to LGBTQIA patients and their community include patient-centered medical homes; pediatric care for LGBTQIA children and families; integrated behavioral health in primary care practices; pre-exposure HIC prophylaxis; gender affirming hormone replacement; HIV care; and tobacco and substance abuse counseling.
