Hunterdon County’s 9-11 Remembrance Ceremony, organized by Sheriff Fred Brown, is scheduled for 8:30 am, Friday, September 11th, at the County’s Historic Courthouse on Main Street, in Flemington, with special guest speaker Senator Mike Doherty.

Chiefs and officers from Hunterdon County Police Departments, Rescue Squads, and Volunteer Fire Companies will participate in the ceremonies, as Hunterdon County honors the memory of those who perished in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, including sixteen Hunterdon County residents.

Senator Doherty is a life-long New Jersey resident who has served Hunterdon County as Senator from NJ
District 23 since 2009. The Senator is a West Point graduate and U.S. Army Veteran. As someone who has
served our nation, Senator Doherty brings an important perspective to our County’s 9-11 Commemoration.
