FLEMINGTON, NJ - A Flemington man was sentenced to five years in state prison in connection with sexual assault charges from 2019, according to a release from the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office.

Louis G. Rodriguez, 27, pleaded guilty to third degree aggravated assault and was sentenced Jan. 24 to five years in state prison.

According to Acting Hunterdon County Prosecutor Michael J. Williams, Rodriguez was arrested June 23, 2019, after a joint investigation by detectives from the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit and the Flemington Borough Police Department.

Rodriguez was initially charged with one count of first degree aggravated sexual assault, one count of third degree aggravated assault, one count of third degree terroristic threats and one count of third degree possession of a weapon.
